Happy Holidays 2009!

Merry Christmas from the island of St. Maarten !!

I have a wonderful excuse for having been absent - we just returned from a wonderful 12 day Holiday Vacation to Florida followed by a wonderful cruise to St. Maarten, St. Lucia and St. Kitts!

Here we are in St. Lucia on Boxing Day - December 26th...
Yes that is our Carnival Cruise Ship in the backgroud of the photo below.

Yes of course I will show you a couple Christmas cards that I made and sent out prior to our vacation.

First to my Build a Bear fans, I made several Build a Bear Stampin' Up! Santa Cards using the Sizzix Big Shot and the following dies:   Stampin' Up! Bear, Stampin' Up! Beary Merry Originals Die, Petals a Plenty embossing folder and the Beary Nice Wishes Stamp Set.
This is also one of the cards my customers made in some of my Stamp a Stack  classes in October and November.

Finally, here is a stunning card which I completely cased from a fellow demo sister of mine Heather Fosbery.   I very rarely love a card to case it 100% I often case a feature or colour combination, however not only did I absolutely love this card, but I had in stock all of the ingredients to use it in one of my Christmas card Stamp a Stacks and for some of my personal Christmas Cards I mailed out!  I hope you love it as much as I do!

It is made with two of my favourite stamp sets - Dasher and Serene Snowflakes.
The saying is from the Four the Holidays stamp set.

I sincerely hope that you and your family celebrated a fabulous Christmas and I wish all of you the very best for 2010 !  Happy New Year and thank you for continuing to stamp with me :)

Wishing you all the Best in 2010!

Christmas Card using the Specialty DSP w flocking, a half pearl and some glitter :)

Today I want to show you the Christmas card I made special for my dear friend Amy :)

She is one of the craftiest people I know - always up to date on the latest trends -
often even days ahead of me! lol.  She is the friend that I exchange cards with the most often. :)

For her card this year (yes she already received it!) I wanted to make something original that she hadn't seen me do yet. I had sooo many different ideas, and started several other cards. Then I realized...she has not seen Stampin' Up!'s amazing Specialty Designer Series Paper - (specifically the flocking!) in the Holiday Mini Catalogue!! And so, this card was born....

Happy Holidays!

Christmas Ornament Punch Card

Christmas Cards .... So many to stamp..so many to send!

Over the next few days I will be posting pics of some of the ones that I will personally sent out this year.
I mailed half of them this morning....  YEAH!!!! What a feeling to know they are on their way!

As some of you know,
It took me several weeks before I finally bought the ornament punch...
Now, I am so glad that I did!!!
If you have attended one of my classes or workshops
in late November or December this card may look familiar to you :)

Happy Stamping!

Sweet Centers Halloween Card - Eek a Spider!

This morning I finished off the cards I have been designing with the new Stampin' Up! Sweet Centers stamp set and sweet treat cups!

Here are several pictures of the Hallowe'en card I made with a spider ring inside being the sweet treat! I made a pull up bookmark (EEK you're sweet) that would release the treats (spider ring in this card). In the pic below it is pulled up half way to show you....

Here is the inside - I stamped the words a Halloween Hi! on the inside. When the tab is pulled up, that is where the spider ring will come out :)

And here's the spider ring. I love this design (thanks to a fellow male demonstrator named Mike)because you don't have to take the card apart to get at the sweet treat inside. Also..once the spider ring is out, I could add hallowe'en candies instead of the ring. Just think about how cute some candy corn would look in here!

This card was made using:
Stamp Sets: Sweet Centers, The More the Merrier
Cardstock: Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Dusty Durango
Extras: Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/8 Circle Punch, Dusty Durango polkadot Grosgrain ribbon
Non Stampin' Up!: plastic spider ring

Happy Stamping!
