Baroque Motifs - one of my faves!

Happy Monday!!

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been so busy packing and packing then moving and moving!! Unfortunately we haven't completed our move as of yet....but we will be done by this time next month! I know, I know - sounds so far away - one MORE month before I start up my classes and Open Stamps? I agree!! But unfortunately this house hasn't sold yet, so my family and I are in between two houses and life is..well rather chaotic!

Todays pic is using one of my favourite stamp sets - Baroque Motifs. Its is one of my staples, especially for weddings :) The cardstock is also one of my all time favourites - purely pomegranite. It has since retired, but fortunately, I still have some extra and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!

My most recent bride - Jenna Rae used this stamp set in her wedding invites. I'll check with her to see if I have permission to post her beautiful wedding invitations.

Enjoy the BEAUTIFUL weather!!!

Happy Stamping,
Jen

Stampin' Up! has a Big Heart!

In late February, Stampin’ Up! shared with its demonstrators that they would help out by planning a promotion with some proceeds going towards the fires that ravaged northern Australia. Stampin’ Up! responded by organizing a relief effort in Australia and New Zealand donating 50 percent of the sales of a select group of stamps to the Australian Red Cross.

Because of these relief efforts, their final donation amount to the Australian Red Cross will be $77,889.63 AUD!

Here’s a quote: "We gratefully acknowledge the hard work of Australian and New Zealand demonstrators who encouraged their customers to purchase the donation stamp sets. We also realize these demonstrators, in many instances, made personal sacrifices by offering part or all of their commissions from special events to aid the relief efforts."

I sure love being part of a company that has such a big heart!

Scrapbooking - Welcome Isabella layout

Happy Wednesday!

I decided to showcase a little bit more of my scrapbooking today. I am sorry for the poor quality photo - it was taken over a year ago before my wonderful husband bought me a new digital camera for Christmas :)

This layout is of the birth of our daughter....so yes, they are birth photos, just moments after she was born via emergency c-section.

Page 1:

The title, which didn't show up so well in the photo reads Welcome in Stampin' Up!'s Big Deal Alphabet.

Page 2:

I know that many scrapbookers prefer to do their journalling by computer, but I really love doing it by hand in my handwriting. One of the things I love most about going through my Baba's (Grandmother) old scrapbooks is her handwritten notes about who is in the picture, when it was taken and what they were doing. I find it so facinating! So I wanted to do the same for my children and their future children when they look at my scrapbooks.
Have a great day!

Recovered Boxes

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and found some time to get to your stamping table.

As I've mentioned in previous posts, part of my love for paper crafting includes recovering journals, boxes, frames and just about anything - to give it that personal touch!

These are just two little boxes that I bought from the local Dollar Store and recovered with Stampin' Up!'s designer series paper.

I hope you like them.

Pretties Kit

Happy Thursday!

Many of my customers have been interested in the pretties kit recently, so I wanted to post a picture showcasing one of the flowers. There are so many elements to our pretties kit, but one of the reasons I love it so much is because you can use our reinkers, markers, watercolour wonder crayons to die the flowers to match your cardstock.

Pretties Kit Item #109114

Use this versatile kit to embellish all of your works of art! The flowers are white so you can color them to coordinate with our exclusive colors using Stampin' Pastels, Watercolor Wonder Crayons, or Classic ink to dye the flowers. Approximate kit quantities:

■ White flowers: 50 (5 sizes, 10 each)

■ Halfback White pearls: 60 (30 small, 20 medium, 10 large)

■ Halfback Cream pearls: 60 (30 small, 20 medium, 10 large)
